Eric Schmidt shares tips on switching to Android from iPhone

Are you looking for some help to switch from iPhone to Android? In a rare post on Google+, Eric Schmidt has shared with his followers a 900-word how-to guide on moving from iPhone to Android.

As many of his iPhone friends are moving to Android, Google’s executive chairman reminded them that the recently launched Android handsets including the Galaxy S4, the Motorola Droid Ultra or the Nexus 5 “have better screens, are faster, and have a much more intuitive interface”. He also finds these devices to be a great Christmas present to an iPhone user!

It is worth mentioning here that the former member of Apple’s board of directors compared the people moving from iPhone to Android to those users that have switched from PC to Mac “and never switched back as everything will be in the cloud, backed up, and there are so many choices for you. 80% of the world, in the latest surveys, agrees on Android.”

Titled “Eric’s Guide: Converting to Android from iPhone”, the guide explains Android beginners the process of signing in to a new Android phone, finding apps, then moving over contacts, synching music, photos and finally, swapping their SIM card out of the iPhone and into an Android phone.

He also suggested users to use Chrome, and not Safari, as “it’s safer and better in so many ways. And it’s free.”
