Acer’s latest Chromebook, C720-2848 has been launched in time for the holiday shopping season. The company models its $199.99 Chromebook after the impressive Acer C720. The difference lies in one key area, though: the C720-2848 comes with 2GB of RAM, whereas the $249 model includes twice that amount.
This new slightly modified version of the C720 features an 11.6-inch 1366 x 768 display, an Intel Haswell Celeron processor and 16GB flash storage.
Other key features include dual speakers, 1x USB 3.0, 1x USB 2.0, an HDMI port, an integrated web cam and 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi. It also offers up to 8.5 hours of battery life found on the original C720.
By picking up an Acer C720-2848, you also get 100GB of free Google Drive storage for two years and 12 free Gogo Inflight passes. You can use these passes to surf the Web while you dart through the skies. Acer is also offering a one-year warranty on parts and labour with the device.
The Acer C720-2848 should hit the Acer Store next month. It is now available in the US from Best Buy and Amazon at $199.99.
So if you are a fan of Chrome OS and $199 sounds good to you, Acer’s latest device is about the best you’ll do.
