System 76 announces touch screen Ubuntu laptop

System 76 is one of those many companies which offer GNU/Linux machines. System 76 has announced a touch-screen laptop which comes pre-installed with Ubuntu 13.10 64 bit.

The laptop is available in mainly two variants – Intel’s i5-4200U ( 1.5 GHz 3MB L3 Cache – 2 Cores plus Hyperthreading ) and  i7-4500U ( 2.4 GHz plugged in / 1.8 GHz on battery – 4MB L3 Cache – 2 Cores plus Hyperthreading ). A user can also choose the amount from RAM needed (there are options of 4,8 and 16GB).

The laptop offers up to 5 hours of battery life. The base model is available for $899.
