KDE Oktoberfest: 4.11.2 arrives with significant improvements

It’s Oktoberfest for KDE users. The monthly update for the three core components of the KDE ecosystem – Workspaces, Applications and the Development Platform – has arrived. This is a bug fix release, so now new feature. However the fixes bring many significant improvements to the Window Manager KWin, the file manager Dolphin, the personal information management suite Kontact, and others.

The updates will be rolled out to users depending on the distro they are using. I just updated my Arch machine and it’s now running 4.11.2 as you can see in the screen shot above.
