With the way technology is moving forward and the even lesser amount of time that we have, most, if not all our apps and programs, need to be constantly adapting to the new norms of our life. These generally come as updates and so Google releases an update for its Drive app, the ubiquitous cloud storage and editing app that the geek in us can swear by. It was functional as it was in the starting though, so it didn’t undergo a major facelift for quite a while. However, it had been showing the signs of an aging design. So the new update, even though it says minor bug fixes, actually comes with a redesign.
The redesign is basically the conversion to the Holo Light design standards specified by Google, which allows the app to have a better colored design and allow newer function without being cluttered. Likewise, the updated app now have 3 options added to the bottom, providing easier and faster access to the Upload, Scan & Create functions without having to go through extra menus and buttons. Other than this, other fixes like editing upgrades and such have also been built in. The new update is available now for download from the Play Store.
