New openSUSE images for Raspberry Pi

Good news for Raspberry Pi users, there are brand new images of openSUSE for this revolutionary device.

Bernhard Wiedemann has created the new armv6 based images for the Raspberry Pi. Wiedemann says that the most exciting “thing is that this was created using an alternative image building automatism which I wrote from scratch in three hours this morning.”

The scripts are available online, along with the images. Raspberry Pi users can use it to create images for their own devices.

According to Wiedemann the availability of the script means “everyone can now easily build his own images the way he likes and even branch and do submit requests for changes that are useful for others.”

You can grab the images here, the script here and read more about it on Wiedemann’s post.
