Most heavy weight smartphone launches are over, and now the tech community has focused on the smartwatch segment. The latest rumour states that Samsung’s alleged smartwatch, ‘Galaxy Gear’ is set to release before annual IFA event in Berlin on September 4.
This piece of news comes from bloomberg, which also reports that the wearable computing device will be able to make phone calls, surf the web and handle e-mails. Apparently Bloomberg had sourced this information from two people associated with the matter.
Till now it is known that the alleged Galaxy Gear will be powered by Android operating system. Samsung has already showcased its flexible display technology, there are lot speculations that the Galaxy Gear could be the first device to make use of flexible display, but Bloomberg sources said that Galaxy Gear will not come with flexible display even though Samsung is work on them. There is no concrete evidence to prove any info about the Galaxy Gear and if Samsung is really making such a device, the Korean Company has successfully kept it away from prying eyes.
Samsung is said to launch its Galaxy Note 3 device at Samsung Unpacked event and Galaxy Gear could be revealed along with it on September 4, two days before IFA.
