Rumour: LG Nexus 5 to feature Snapdragon 800 processor and cost $299
Just like Google went with Asus again for the new Nexus 7, it is reported that LG will be trusted again for making the next generation Nexus smartphone. The rumour mills are churning and the Chinese website ‘MyDrivers’ reports that, like Nexus 4 was based on LG Optimus G,. the alleged Nexus 5 will be based on LG G2. To make things even sweeter, Nexus 5 should be carry affordable price tag of $299, just like its predecessor.
If indeed Nexus 5 is based on LG’s G2, we can assume that it should feature a 5.2 inch 1080p FULL HD display, Snapdragon 800 processor and contain 2GB of RAM. There were rumours floating that said, to keep Nexus 5 affordable, Snapdragon 600 processor will be used. However a reliable Vietnamese website ‘Tinhte’ which was responsible for several Moto X leaks, has reported that the next generation Nexus smartphone will feature the better Snapdragon 800 processor.

Since Nexus 4 was also said to based on LG Optimus G, but it did not have identical features to the LG Optimus G, we might see quite a few changes in the Nexus 5 from LG G2. We are especially expecting normal button placement for volume rocker and ‘premium’ glass back like the Nexus 4.
