Rumour: Sony Working On ‘Honami Mini’ Smartphone

Following Samsung and HTC, Sony is set to make a smaller version of its flagship Smartphone available to the customers. Even before any confirmation about existence of ‘Honami’ flagship device from Sony, we already have rumours around a ‘mini’ version of the device coming in.

The alleged ‘Honami Mini’ unlike other ‘mini’ counterparts from HTC and Samsung is not going to be a mediocre device and is expected to have performance specs closer to the flagship device and would be taking on the next generation rumoured iPhone 5S  alone with HTC One Mini and Samsung Galaxy S4. The smaller Honami is said to have a screen size between 4 inch to 4.3 inch. It is also expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor. However, the ‘Honami Mini’ may not have imaging hardware on par with the flagship Honami.

Since we do not have any official announcement from Sony regarding either Honami or its Mini version, we would advise the readers to take this news with big grain of salt. The flagship Sony device is expected to be launched at a press conference called on by Sony on September 4 at IFA 2013 in Berlin. Speculated specifications include quad-core Snapdragon 800, a 20-megapixel back facing camera, 2GB of RAM, a 3,000 mAh battery, and a 5-inch Full HD display.
