The internet is filled with rumours around the Moto X Smartphone. Motorola was quiet for a long time while other Smartphone giants have been releasing a plethora of devices every month. This new device might mark a new beginning for the Google acquired company.
According to The Wall Street Journal, Google is planning on a very high budget marketing campaign for the Moto X. Around $500 million is said to have been put aside for the highly customisable and made in USA flagship Smartphone from Motorola.
The promotional campaign has already begun with Motorola releasing a teaser in many newspapers in the US, describing the device as “the first smartphone you can design yourself.” If you are wondering what kind of customisations we are talking about here, you can choose the colour options for front and back panel, along with personalised engraving on the device.
Even though Google had announced during the acquisition that the company will not interfere with the administration of Motorola, but after continuous poor performance, we think Google is looking to take some control of Motorola. In fact Motorola has asked the carriers to ship its devices with as less bloat ware as possible.
In the US the Moto X is expected to be launched on all major carriers: Verizon Wireless, AT&T, Sprint and T-mobile this fall.
