Now you can edit PDF in LibreOffice, Install LibreOffice 4.0.4 in Linux Mint, Kubuntu

The LibreOffice teams announced the release of LO 4.0.4 yesterday which brings minor updates to the office suite. While my Linux Mint system was still running older version of LibreOffice you can always add the LO PPA and install the latest version on your system. To add a PPA in Linux Mint, run this commands:

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:libreoffice/libreoffice-4-0
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

The first command will add the repository, second command will refresh the repos and the 3rd command will upgrade the packages of the system.

One of the less talked about, but greatest features of LO 4.0.4 is the ability to open any PDF file and then edit and again save it as PDF. Just use the ‘Open’ file open and browse the PDF you want to end, then make changes to the PDF and then select the ‘export’ feature and save as PDF.
