Kubuntu gets better artwork for 13.04
Kubuntu, the KDE flavour of Ubuntu, is getting ready for the 13.04 release. Not only is it getting latest and greatest from the KDE stable, including 4.10.2, it’s also polishing the UI a bit.
The boot screen of Kubuntu (Plymouth boot screen) now features fancy Kubuntu logo. In addition the grub entry now shows ‘Kubuntu’ instead of ‘Ubuntu.

The Ubiquity installer also gets some polish. However, there is a major bug in Kubuntu 13.04 where installations fails at partitioning stage if a PC has more than 1 HDD. This could be a deal breaking bug as users won’t be able to install Ubuntu on their system.

There are many GNU/Linux based distributions which offer excellent KDE integration including openSUSE, Manjaro, Chakra. But if you like Ubuntu’s base, then Kubuntu is a great option for you. While to benefit from the Ubuntu ecosystem, you don’t have to worry about the privacy issues.
