Adobe Photoshop Touch Comes To Android Phones

Following up on its tablet version, Adobe has now launched Photoshop Touch for smartphones including Android, iPhone and iPod touch.

Photoshop Touch was launched for tablets way back in October 2011. The new mobile version shares exactly the same set of features as that for tablets.

Stephen Nielson from Adobe notes:

This app shares an almost identical set of features with the tablet app, in an experience designed for smaller screens. I am particularly excited about this new app because I always have my phone with me. I can be creative anywhere using the powerful tools in Photoshop Touch, even when I don’t have my tablet with me.

The app comes with “core” Photoshop capabilities, Scribble Selection for high-precision selections using only your finger and Camera Fill for real-time creative blending of your camera feed with layers.

Photoshop Touch on the phone also sports other special effects alongside the option to share creations via applications like Facebook, Twitter and email. Creative Cloud access is here as well with a free 2GB storage from Adobe.  “This capability is available to every customer with a free Creative Cloud account. There is no paid subscription requirement for syncing,” adds Nielson.

You can now download the app from Google Play for £2.99 and get started with Photoshop Touch on your Android phone right away. All you need is a phone powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich or later.
