Evernote is a popular online service that allows you to have all your notes in one place, powered by the cloud. You can jot down your thoughts and points on the web, on your Android and iPhone, and never lose track of important things in your life. The most important thing about Evernote is that its stored online, in a single place and you can access your notes from anywhere, anytime, no matter wherever you are.
Though there is not any official Evernote client for Linux, the free software community has created its own open source alternative of Evernote client, Everpad, and its available in Ubuntu. So now you will be able to access your notes in your Ubuntu desktop and Laptop, all you need to add a PPA and install the client using these commands:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nvbn-rm/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install everpad
Some of the exciting features of this release are:
- new icons
- better dash integration
- table support
Now you can email notes by attaching them with Thunderbird or favorite your mail client. In case you would like to contribute, you can visit their official github repository here.
