Ubuntu GNOME Remix 12.10 Alpha 2 Is Here, Looks Promising

Great news for Gnome fans. The second alpha of Ubuntu GNOME Remix 12.10 is out for testing. If you are a Gnome Shell enthusiast then you can test the alpha builds. I installed it on my Dell XPS 1330 and it is extremely fast and seems to be a great Gnome shell experience. One of the reasons Gnome users were unhappy was they were missing the ease of use and availability of applications on Ubuntu.

However, there was a major road-block in Ubuntu 12.10. I have not been able to boot it on two of my main machines with Nvidia GTX 470 and GTX 275 cards. So, I was not able to test it on my main PCs. Update: The problem seems to be with Nouveau drivers and if you are affected with the problem you can find a workaround in this thread (thanks to Bilal Akhtar)

It seems the bug has been filed and someone may look into it.

Here are some screenshots of Ubuntu GNOME Remix 12.10 alpha 2.
